The 5 W H’s of GDPR
Our ethos is keeping things simple for our clients. The European General Data Protection Regulation (EU-GDPR) becomes enforceable legislation in May of this year. As a business, if you are holding data on EU citizens then you will have to start asking yourself some questions and making ready. The bill is lengthy and as with most legislation can be complex in places. Using an old investigative adage here are some questions to ask yourself.
Who – are your data subjects?
What – are you doing with their data?
Where – do your data subjects reside?
Why – have you got their data?
When – do you intend to dispose of it?
How – are you making sure it is safe?
