started in financial services in 1990 as a financial adviser for a blue-chip insurance company. Over this period, he became FPC and CEMAP qualified. After building all the necessary knowledge over eight years, he formed his independent advisory practice and built a small agile team of 6 advisors.
During this period, Chris developed an aptitude for compliance and AML, owing to the need to hold those controlling functions within the firm.
In 2009, he tackled the problem of sanctions screening and the lack of affordable solutions in the market. He set about solving this problem for himself and the rest of his industry peers; this is where SanctionsSearch.com was born.
This product is part of a stable of products dealing with AML, PEPs and financial crime risk. His company, Professional Office Ltd, now has a highly skilled team in the AML FinTech sector. They currently service 9,000 firms with 25,000 users, screening 43 million customer records. He also has a team of in-house developers responsible for maintaining the platform and developing cutting-edge ways of mitigating the risk that regulatory firms are exposed to due to the ever-growing risk of financial crime.
Chris is involved in several industry groups, providing feedback and discussing critical industry issues, most notably The Association of Professional Compliance Consultants Financial Crime Working Group, of which he is a long-standing member.
